FAQ

I do not take rush commissions or hard deadlines. It is very important to me to provide my clients with the best quality I can offer, and therefore I will not rush my work. If there is a certain time you need your costume by, please discuss it with me beforehand so we can determine if the time frame is realistic. I will provide a general estimated time of completion when your commission is started.

My head bases are hand carved from upholstery foam. I use faux fur (mostly teddy or luxury shag), never real fur. The paw pads and claws are minky. For the inner liner I use quilted broadcloth for the face, lycra for the neck, and fleece for the eyes/mouth. Other materials used include felt, elastic, and hot glue.

My faux fur is purchased from Howl Fabrics and Big Z fabric. I include a swatch pack with the furs used for completed projects. Eye blanks are 3d printed by me, and eye mesh is designed by me but printed by CorgilegsCrafts

I use the slim five-finger handpaw pattern by Skunkydesigns and the four-finger handpaw pattern by BiteMeFursuits. All other patterns are made by me.

I am unlikely to accept payment plans at this time. I keep a short queue of only 2-3 projects to maintain a fast turnaround time. If I choose to expand my queue, I may accept short payment plans in the future.

Currently I do not take commissions for only small parts (handpaws, tails) except for returning clients wanting to turn a head-only commission into a partial.

I only build off my own hand carved head bases and I buy my materials new. However if you want a specific fur/material used in your commission, please let me know! I am also happy to send sample swatches for you to help you decide.

I will take batches of 2-3 commissions at a time and they will be started in the order they are paid and materials are received. All commissions in the batch will be completed or close to completed before the next opening. A batch should be completed within 4-6 months unless otherwise communicated.

Premade costumes generally accommodate small glasses for head sizes <23″, but due to the variety of glasses and head shapes I cannot guarantee a premade will accommodate your glasses. Glasses can be accommodated in commissions since they are build off client’s measurements. I am working towards making all my heads glasses-friendly!

Yes! Large eyes give the wearer great vision with only a small blind spot in the middle, and the eye mesh provides additional airflow. The mouth opening is made to line up with the wearer’s nose and mouth, and the back of the head is foamless to hold in less heat. Head fans in the ears or mouth can be added for an additional cost.
